POWER OUTAGE PROCEDURES

*ALL parents of students will be contacted before sending students home

Power Outage Policy

If power is off by 8:00am there are no morning classes

If power comes on by 11:30am then there will be afternoon classes beginning at 12:40pm

Bus will leave Long Beach at 12pm
Boat will leave Opitsaht at 12:20pm

If the power goes off while students are in class, BC Hydro will be contacted. If the power will be out indefinetely or remains out for an hour, students will be sent home.

If students are sent home from school and the power comes back on, school will remain closed for students.

If your child will not be attending school on any given day please phone or email the office and let us know. If we do not receive a call and your child does not arrive at school we will call you. Your child's well being and safety if our main concern.

ARRIVE AT SCHOOL 8:30am

LEAVE SCHOOL 2:40pm
ARRIVE CHESTERMAN BEACH SOUTH 2:50pm
ARRIVE LONG BEACH 3:00pm

BOAT SCHEDULE

LEAVE OPITSAHT 8:10am 8:20am 8:30am
ARRIVE AT SCHOOL 8:35am by bus

LEAVE SCHOOL 2:30pm

BUS AND BOAT BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS
Students who travel to school by bus and boat are under the school's code of conduct which regulates student behavior. Please remind your child of this and the fact that inappropriate behavior, while in transport to or from school, will be dealt with accordingly. Our expectation is that bus and boat students will demonstrate responsible, courteous behavior and will always follow the directions and rules as stipulated by the bus and boat drivers.
